Terms and Conditions of Service
By signing the ALL Organized Now Independent Contractor Agreement, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions of Service.
Confidentiality & Ethics
ALL Organized Now (AON) follows the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. We understand that inviting someone into your home and sharing personal information can feel vulnerable. Your belongings, circumstances, and personal information will be treated with care, respect, and discretion.
We will not discuss your personal matters with a third party without your consent unless disclosure is permitted or required by law or court order. You are encouraged to set aside any items, records, or information you prefer to keep private before service begins.
Testimonials, photographs, and other identifying materials are published only with the client’s separate permission.
Andrea Lee owner of AON has completed the California Department of Social Services Mandated Reporter Training for Mental Health and Social Workers. AON is a permissive reporter and may report suspected child abuse, elder or dependent-adult abuse, neglect, exploitation, domestic violence, or other serious safety concerns to the appropriate authorities when permitted by law. Services may be ended immediately when safety is at risk.
Service Area & Travel Time
AON serves select communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Non-commute travel time is billed at our standard hourly rate, including travel between service locations for tasks such as donation drop-offs and supply runs.
Travel fees may be waived at AON’s discretion. Not sure whether we serve your area? Please contact us about your city.
Contract & Booking Fee
AON requires a signed Independent Contractor Agreement and a $100 booking fee to reserve the first appointment. The booking fee is credited toward the cost of services. Purchasing a prepaid package waives the booking fee.
Session Fees
AON communicates anticipated fees and expenses before services begin and posts current hourly rates and package pricing on our website. Rates and packages are subject to change.
Hourly services are billed in 15-minute increments. When more than one organizer is present, billable time is calculated separately for each organizer. AON may adjust pricing based on project scope, worksite conditions, labor requirements, and other circumstances identified before or during service.
Payment Information
AON requires payment in full at the time of service. We send invoices by email after each session, and prepaid packages must be purchased before services begin.
AON accepts cash, personal checks, Venmo, and PayPal. Checks should be made payable to ALL Organized Now.
Checks returned for insufficient funds may be subject to a service charge of up to $25 for the first returned check and $35 for each subsequent returned check, as permitted by California Civil Code section 1719.
Refunds
Fees for completed services are nonrefundable. AON will refund the unused portion of a prepaid package upon request.
To calculate the refund, AON will subtract the value of all completed service hours, billed at the standard hourly rate, from the original package price. Any remaining balance will be refunded.
AON may end the service agreement and refund any remaining package balance when a client repeatedly cancels appointments or fails to appear for scheduled sessions.
Cancellation, No-Show, and Late Arrival Policy
Your time is valuable, and ours is too. AON requires at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the loss of the full booking fee. No-shows are charged the full scheduled session fee.
Clients who arrive late or are unavailable at the scheduled start time remain responsible for the full session fee, and the session will still end at the originally scheduled time.
Emergency exceptions and fee waivers are granted at AON’s discretion.
Client Commitment
Organizing is a collaborative process, especially during the early stages of a project. Focused client participation helps create lasting results.
Clients can make the most of each session by minimizing distractions. When possible, we recommend arranging childcare for young children and keeping large or highly active pets away from the work area.
Clients are encouraged to:
- attend scheduled appointments and participate actively;
- remain open to change and new systems;
- make timely decisions about items to keep, donate, sell, recycle, or repurpose;
- complete agreed-upon tasks before the next session; and
- maintain organized, staging, and work areas between sessions.
AON will provide guidance, structure, and support, but long-term results depend on the client’s continued participation and follow-through.
Project Timeline
Every client and project is unique. AON approaches each project with compassion, patience, and respect. We will not pressure clients to let go of belongings. Instead, we provide guidance, structure, and encouragement throughout the decision-making process.
AON develops a customized scope of work for each project, but all timelines are estimates. The time required may vary based on:
- the size and condition of the space;
- the number of items to be sorted and organized;
- the client’s decision-making pace;
- the amount of time needed to decide what to keep, donate, sell, recycle, or repurpose; and
- the availability of suitable organizing products or solutions.
Clients can help keep a project on schedule and within budget by:
- making timely decisions about belongings;
- completing agreed-upon tasks between sessions;
- maintaining previously organized areas; and
- keeping work surfaces and staging areas reasonably clear and accessible.
Health, Safety & Worksite Conditions
Worksite conditions are evaluated before and during service. Projects involving heavy dust, accumulated debris, evidence of rodents, extensive lifting, or conditions requiring additional protective equipment may be billed at the High-Labor or Specialty Projects rate. Active pest infestations, mold, sewage, needles, human waste, significant animal waste, structural hazards, or other unsafe conditions may require treatment by a pest-control, remediation, cleaning, or biohazard professional before services can begin or continue. ALL Organized Now reserves the right to pause, decline, or terminate work when conditions present an unreasonable health or safety risk.
Supplies
AON customizes organizing solutions to fit each client’s needs, preferences, and storage style. Organizing products and supplies are purchased separately and are not included in service fees.
Clients may purchase recommended items independently, or AON may shop for, return, and deliver client-approved items. Time spent shopping, returning products, and transporting supplies is billed at the applicable hourly rate.
AON will provide receipts for client-approved purchases. Reimbursement for supplies is due in full at the time of service.
Donations, Disposal, and Hauling
AON may transport items for donation or disposal on the client’s behalf. Transport is limited to items that fit safely in our vehicle and can be reasonably handled without assistance or risk of injury.
For large quantities, heavy items, or oversized belongings, AON may help coordinate an appropriate pickup or hauling service. Any third-party hauling, disposal, or pickup fees are the client’s responsibility.
When available, AON will provide the client with a dated donation receipt issued by the receiving organization. The client is responsible for listing donated items, assigning values, and determining whether a donation is tax-deductible.
Clients are also responsible for dump fees, mileage or travel charges, and other expenses related to donation or disposal.
Yard Sales
AON may assist with preparing and managing garage sales, yard sales, moving sales, and estate sales. Services are billed at the applicable hourly rate and may include:
- identifying items for sale and helping establish prices;
- grouping items into categories or sale lots;
- arranging and displaying merchandise, including providing folding tables when available;
- creating online listings, posting signs, and promoting the sale locally; and
- coordinating the donation, disposal, or removal of unsold items.
AON does not guarantee that any item will sell or that a sale will produce a particular amount of revenue.
Referrals
AON may recommend independent third-party service providers when appropriate. These providers are not employees or subcontractors of AON, and AON is not responsible for their availability, performance, conduct, workmanship, fees, or any resulting loss or damage. Clients are responsible for evaluating and hiring any referred provider.
Client referrals are one of our greatest compliments. When someone you refer becomes a paid AON client, you will earn one complimentary hour of organizing services.
Referral hours accumulate and do not expire. One referral hour may be applied toward a three-hour session, and up to two referral hours may be applied toward a five-hour prepaid package. Once four referral hours have been earned, AON will add a fifth hour to create one complimentary five-hour organizing package.
Final Walk-Through
At the end of each session, AON conducts a final walk-through with the client. This gives the client an opportunity to review the work, ask questions, and raise any concerns.
When possible, AON will address concerns during the walk-through or before proceeding to the next phase of the project.
At the conclusion of services, AON may provide a satisfaction survey and invite the client to share feedback.
Results & Limitations
AON strives to create a more orderly, functional environment during each project. However, organizing is an ongoing process, and items may remain in staging areas or on work surfaces between sessions. In some cases, a space may temporarily appear more disorganized while belongings are being sorted, particularly in small or heavily cluttered areas.
AON does not guarantee that we can lift, move, or reposition large, heavy, fragile, or hazardous objects. When specialized handling is needed, the client may be asked to hire an appropriate professional.
AON does not appraise collectibles, antiques, artwork, jewelry, or other potentially valuable property. We recommend consulting a qualified appraiser or other trained specialist before selling, donating, discarding, or otherwise disposing of such items.
Termination of Services
AON or the client may terminate services at any time by providing written notice. Termination may take effect immediately. The client remains responsible for payment for all services performed and expenses incurred before termination.
AON may terminate services immediately when:
- the client, or anyone present or associated with the client, engages in threatening, abusive, violent, or destructive behavior;
- worksite conditions are unsafe, hazardous, or otherwise unsuitable for service; or
- the client has not obtained the authorization or access required for AON to perform the scheduled work.
For this policy, threatening behavior includes conduct that intentionally or knowingly causes another person to fear bodily injury. Violent behavior includes conduct that harms a person, injures an animal, or damages property.
Any refund of an unused prepaid package balance will be handled according to AON’s Refunds policy.
