Giving Back Program Guidelines

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The work of life is to develop it.
The meaning of life is to give your gift away.”

David Viscott

Organizing Is a Gift I Can Share With Our Community

I have committed my life to contributing in small ways, not because small actions are all I believe myself capable of, but because I understand their value. Looking back, many of the most meaningful interactions in my life may have seemed insignificant to the people involved, yet they changed something in me. I believe the little things we do matter, often more than we realize.

I benefited tremendously from programs created to support people in need, and it is meaningful for me to share my own gifts in return. Organizing is one way I can serve my community. Through the Giving Back Program, I offer donated organizing support to people who want meaningful change but may not be able to afford professional services.

Financial circumstances do not determine who deserves help. Many applicants are single parents, artists, caregivers, or people living through depression, grief, illness, or other difficult seasons. These experiences can affect a person’s health, daily life, and ability to care for their home. I understand how overwhelming that can feel. I have been there too.

Giving Back Program Guidelines & Terms

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO APPLY OR TO BE SELECTED.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The ALL Organized Now Giving Back Program provides donated organizing support to members of the community who are experiencing financial hardship and could benefit from professional assistance.

The program is need-based. It is not a contest, sweepstakes, raffle, or random drawing. Applications are reviewed individually, and recipients are selected by ALL Organized Now based on the circumstances described in the application and whether the available service is likely to provide meaningful help.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Live in Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, or Emeryville.
  • Provide accurate contact information.
  • Complete all required fields on the Giving Back Application.
  • Have a project that falls within the services ALL Organized Now provides and can be completed safely and appropriately.

Submitting an application does not guarantee selection or service.

APPLICATION PERIOD

Applications may be submitted throughout the month.

Applications received by 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the final day of the month will be included in that month’s review. Applications received after the deadline will be considered during the following review period.

ALL Organized Now may pause, modify, or discontinue the Giving Back Program at any time based on availability and resources.

HOW TO APPLY

Applicants may submit one application per month. There is no limit to the number of months an eligible person may apply, but each applicant may receive donated service only once.

Applicants must complete all required fields on the Giving Back Application. Incomplete applications may not be considered.

Information submitted through the application will be used only to review the request, communicate with the applicant, and administer the Giving Back Program. ALL Organized Now does not sell personal information. Additional details are available in the Privacy Policy.

SELECTION & SCHEDULING

All eligible applications received by the monthly deadline will be reviewed by ALL Organized Now. One recipient may be selected based on financial need, current circumstances, project suitability, safety, location, scheduling availability, and whether a three-hour organizing session is likely to provide meaningful assistance.

The selected recipient will be notified by email on or about the seventh day of the month. Applicants are responsible for monitoring the email address provided on the application.

The selected recipient must respond within seven days of notification. If the recipient does not respond, cannot be reached, no longer meets the eligibility requirements, or does not comply with these guidelines, ALL Organized Now may select another recipient.

The donated organizing session must be scheduled and completed during the month in which the recipient is notified, subject to mutual availability.

DONATED SERVICES

One selected recipient may receive one free three-hour organizing session, valued at up to $225.

The donated service has no cash value, is non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for another service or payment. It is limited to work that ALL Organized Now determines can be performed safely and appropriately within the three-hour session.

Any costs not specifically included in the donated service, such as purchases, disposal fees, hauling, repairs, pest treatment, remediation, or third-party services, are the recipient’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any federal, state, or local tax obligations associated with receiving the donated service are the recipient’s responsibility.

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS

ALL Organized Now may pause, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Giving Back Program at any time, including when circumstances beyond its control affect the safe or fair administration of the program.

Applications containing false, misleading, incomplete, duplicated, or manipulated information may be rejected. ALL Organized Now may also disregard applications affected by suspected fraud, tampering, technical interference, or unauthorized activity.

ALL Organized Now is not responsible for applications that are incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, lost, misdirected, or not received because of technical problems, website interruptions, email failures, software errors, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALL Organized Now is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from an applicant’s participation in the Giving Back Program or use of the donated service.

Recipients remain responsible for disclosing known hazards, unsafe conditions, pests, structural concerns, and other circumstances that could affect the safe performance of services. ALL Organized Now may decline, postpone, limit, or stop work when conditions are unsafe or outside the scope of the program.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive or limit any right or liability that cannot lawfully be waived or limited under California law.

PRIVACY & PUBLICITY

Recipients are not required to provide photographs, testimonials, comments, identifying information, or publicity in exchange for receiving donated service.

ALL Organized Now may request permission to use a pseudonym, comments, or before-and-after photographs for educational or promotional purposes. Participation is entirely voluntary and requires a separate written release. Declining publicity will not affect an applicant’s eligibility, selection, or receipt of service.
